| INGREDIENTS:
4 cups Pictsweet Butter Beans
8 slices bacon
1/4 cup Pictsweet
Chopped Onions
1/2 cup celery, chopped
2/3 cup light molasses
1/2 cup catsup
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
COOKING DIRECTIONS:
Place frozen beans in container and cover with water.
Place on stove top and bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer 30-35 minutes. Additional
water may be needed during cooking. Drain. Cook bacon until
crisp; reserve drippings. Crumble bacon into small pieces;
set aside. In bacon drippings sauté
onions and celery until tender; drain. Combine all
ingredients, except bacon and pour into a 2 quart casserole.
Top mixture with crumbled bacon. Bake uncovered at 350°F
for 30 minutes. Serve. |
